Scrapbooking with children

by julia on June 18, 2008

My children have grown up with scrapbooking gear always around them.  Each child has their own album which they started from a early age.  I love to look back now on what they have done and see their precious handwriting.

Children don’t need to make perfect pages, so please don’t stress out too much.  Start a collection of items that you are happy for them to use and store them in a seperate place.  Make sure the photos are ones that you are happy for them to cut up because they probably will cut them up.

By teaching your children how to scrapbook now you are making an investment in their future as well as their children’s future.

Don’t know about you but don’t you wish someone had put together a scrapbook for you that you can now look back and enjoy!  If someone has make sure you thank them as it is just so special.

Whenever my daughter who is 12 has a birthday party coming up she always makes a card from her supplies.  I think that this thought and action is worth more than any purchased card.

So encourage your child to scrapbook they will love it.
